Concierge See Town
Damneon Saduak Floating Market: Saturday 16th August, 2008

The purpose of this visit is to update the information of the floating market and to be able to recommend to the guests of what they will expect at the scene.

There were 64 concierges and associate members joined this activity. We gathered at Chao Phraya Park Hotel at 07:00 hours and the buses left the hotel at 07:40 hours. Then we arrived at the pier to broad the long tail boats, which took more than 45 minutes for all of us to broad the boats. We cruised along the canal, saw how people live along the canal, the cruising time took approximately 40 minutes. Once we arrived at the market, there were many tourists in the canal, many of them were in the rowing boats. They shopped for souvenirs, took photographs and enjoyed the scene of the market. We stopped by at the noodle stall for boat noodle, walked around the market to check what are available for the guests as souvenirs. Most of the souvenirs are handicrafts, cotton shirt, wood craving, painting and many more. However, these souvenirs are also available at the Weekend Market and the Suan Lum Night Bazaar.

We boarded the bus again at 11:45 hours and continued our trip to Suan Sam Pran for lunch. The lunch served here is buffet style, most of the food is quite plain in the taste, suitable for tourists who are not able to take so much of the chilies. After lunch, we watched the elephant show and the show was very interesting and funny. Short after, we crossed over to the crocodile lake for feeding and the show. The crocodile show was exciting as expected. We had another hour to walk around the park, but there was nothing much to see and do at the park. We left Suan Sam Pran at 15:30 hours and arrived safely at Chao Phraya Park Hotel at 17:45 hours.
